Two Houses of Rental Accommodation facing the Harbour of
Kingsville, Ontario, Canada

Situated in the most Southern Town in Canada, on the north shore of Lake Erie, these two houses stand at the top of the hill directly in front of the Kingsville Harbour. Each distinct in offerings and decor, both houses offer a fabulous view of the activities of the harbour. If you enjoy the four walls and television set in a hotel room, this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for accommodations with a ring-side view of a working harbour, this is the place for you to stay. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are dependent on availability. Each home is fully furnished, including bedding, towels and equipped kitchen. Just bring your personal or specialty items and enjoy your stay in the historic town of Kingsville-on-the-Lake.

 

The Brick House,
141 Park Street, Kingsville

Nothing to look at from the outside, this two bedroom home is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Although renovations are in the planning stage for the second floor, the first floor is nicely appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room area, with sectional couch, two bedrooms, bathroom and enclosed back porch. Central heating/air conditioning make it comfortable any time of the year. A small electric fireplace makes it cozy. The best part is the screened porch that offers a perfect view of the harbour in either season. The porch is the width of the house and generous in depth. A perfect place to relax and view the daily events of the harbour.

The kitchen has been completely redone including new cupboards and tiling. A kitchen table sits 4 comfortably. Fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, and all pots, pans, dishes, glassware and cutler as well as towels are supplied. If not dining out at the many fine restaurants in Kingsville and area, food is the only thing you need to buy to make meals.

Each bedroom includes a double bed with memory foam topper for a sleep that makes you feel as if you are floating in the clouds. The satin bed covers and curtains display a rich look to the rooms. With adequate closets, a bureau, chair, night stand with lamp and clock/radio, the rooms are as complete as any hotel room.

One large room combines a dining room with living room. The dining room table is long and has bench seats which can accommodate at least 8. The living room includes a sectional which can sleep an additional 2 persons on short stays. A television and VCR are provided.

A hammock on the open-air screened back porch completes the setting for an afternoon rest. Rocking chairs are perfect to relax in and watch the comings and goings of one of the last working harbours.

The bathroom includes a tub/shower, toilet and sink, with fan. Although small it is very clean. Towels are available.

Washer, dryer and folding table are available in the basement. The basement has room for storing bicycles, camping gear etc. and has an outside access.

Lawn and garden care is supplied but long term rentals are welcome to plant or tend the garden.

A barbeque is supplied as well as garbage can. Longer term guests are requested to lay their garbage at the side of the road on pickup day.

Parking is within steps of the house.

The White House is versatile. It contains 4 bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs and an extra sitting room upstairs. It also has two double futons in the basement for extra guests. Normally rented as one unit, there is the possibility (depending on timing and availability) to rent single rooms for short periods (i.e. birding season,etc.)

This house has everything your home would have and so is comfortable for families or two or more couples. A large basement with pool table and games can entertain when you want to come in from the back deck and viewing the harbour.

This house is a total of 3 stories, including the basement. On the first floor are the two bedrooms, with shared bathroom, kitchen, and living room with exit to the open air deck. On the upper floor are two bedrooms, a sitting room, and a shared bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes fridge, stove, microwave and Tim Horton's coffee maker. Everything is available to cook, except the food! A table and 6 chairs complete the kitchen.

The living room includes a (non-working) fireplace and couches, chairs and tables, as well as a TV and DVD. Decorations are of a nautical theme complimented by the Pirate's Parrot and telescope.

The full basement includes two double futons, bar and stools, pool table and games for relaxation. A treadmill and other pieces of exercise equipment are available for use. Also in the basement is a clothes washer and dryer.

Shown above are the main floor bedrooms, one of which contains a queen size bed and the other a double bed. The two upstairs bedrooms (unshown) each have double beds. Each is nicely decorated and includes bureau, closet, end table, lamp and clock/radio. All bedding is supplied, including memory foam mattresses on each for a sleep that makes you feel as if you are in the clouds. The upstairs hallway includes a selection of books for your reading pleasure. The sitting room upstairs is a small getaway decorated in African themes.

On each of the main and upper floors is a bathroom with toilet, sink and washing facility. The main floor has a shower only. The upper floor has a claw foot tub only with a view out the west window. Towels are supplied.

A barbeque is available on the deck. Longer term guests are requested to use the garbage container to take their garbage to the street for pick up. Lawn care is provided but long term guests are welcome to garden if they wish. Parking is steps from the front door.

 

Rental Prices available for short or longer term, subject to availability, season and length of term. Prices include rent, utilities, cable and internet. Certain pets are welcome but an end-of-term cleaning deposit will be required. Weekly cleaning service is extra.
